The Virginia Crop Production Association (VACPA) is a very active and vital participant in the agricultural industry of the commonwealth. What does it do for you, the dealer?

As a member of the VACPA, you are represented in:

***The Virginia Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services

(VDACS)

VACPA is a main conduit for certification information and provides a time and place for pesticide certification and re-certification at our annual crops summit.

***Virginia Department of Conservation & Recreation (VA DCR)

and American Society of Agronomy (ASA)

VACPA has been instrumental in promoting and providing training for the Certified Crop Advisors and Nutrient Management Programs. Both training and CEU credit opportunities are available at our winter crops summit.

***Virginia Tech

VACPA also promotes training and re-certification for VA Private Pesticide Applicators at our annual crops summit.

***Virginia Agribusiness Council

The Virginia Agribusiness Council is a non-profit organization committed to representing the

agriculture and forest industries in the Commonwealth with a unified voice through effective government relations efforts.

***National Organizations

VACPA works closely with The Fertilizer Institute (TFI), CropLife America (CLA), The Southern Crop Protection Association (SCPA), and Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA). These relationships allow your Association to stay abreast of national issues, and thus keep you informed.
